How might we remake the image of an icon?

Made from 111 recycled plastic Coke bottles, the 111 Navy Chair® is the result of a special collaboration between Emeco and Coca-Cola. It took four years of research, design and materials testing to create this chair, which is a durable plastic version of the iconic 1006 Navy® Chair.

By freezing the chair in a one ton block of ice, we were making a playful reference to a the refreshing pause that an icy cold Coke -or sitting in an Emeco chair- provides.

• The production of this chair is expected to keep three million plastic Coke bottles out of landfills each year.
• The chair itself is 100% recyclable.
